Welcome

They put me behind the camera. Big mistake. I spun the video so much it produced a dizzifying effect. This is as much as i could touch up, with my limited computer skills. So lets head on in....

PayPerPost

I've heard about this for quite awhile from my blogging addicted pals, but i never really thought that i would be the type to blog religiously, so i cast the idea aside. However, surprisingly enough, i have taken quite a keen interest to blogging and signing up to payperpost is just an ideal way of making some money on the side. Yes, being a student, i'm constantly short on cash and surviving on a tight budget. Advertising through blogging will be a fine way to fund some of my shopping and travelling. World, here i come! Woohooo!~now i'm really excited.

So this is how PayPerPost(PPP), the brainchild of Ted Murphy works. The advertisers create opportunities that describe the content they are looking for. This can range from feedback, videos, reviews and others. The bloggers or 'posties' then pick out opportunities that suit their interest or expertise. Research and careful thought will have to follow. Once the post is completed and submitted, PPP will review it and handle the payment if everything matches the criteria. Some of the criterias that might have to be adhered to are tone, a minimum or maximum length and topic. Simple enough?...it's darn straightforward.

So here i go...dipping my thumb in another pie. I'm giving PayPerPost a shot. Lets see how this works out.

Tattoo

I got my tattoo the day after we landed. it took me a long long time to decide on the design because i insisted on falling in love with it before etching the pattern onto my skin for good. i have no regrets at all. surprisingly the pain was very bearable and here is the masterpiece

The temple for today was ulu watu.sitting atop a cliff, there was a breathtaking view of the ocean.we managed to catch the kecak fire dance there.it is the balinese depiction of ramayana.

On the road

it was a packed day in bali today.we managed to hire a driver over a three day period for only 1million odd rupiah.relatively cheap. He took us to temples and a volcano.the view was breathtaking.apparently the last time the thing erupted and spewed lava at 110km per hour was in 1963.

We then visited the besakih temple.its the largest here and it's enormous!there are 50 plus complexes that make up the temple.we managed to go into the main praying area of iswara, the god of education for a little bit of meditation.and while ju vern and i were busy praying for the gang, the rest were camwhoring totally awesome shots..leaving us out.

today we also had a hurricane grocery shopping spree.we got home and used our pretty kitchen to whip up a totally yummy dinner.everyone got thrown into the pool right after...feeling all buncit!

We decided to check out seminyak and see what the bali nightlife scene is like.boooring!a total letdown.we did see the aj hackett bungee jumping site here though.too bad it was closed..day number one in paradise down.:(

Karma@bali

i thought tioman was paradise.that was before i came to bali.damn!this place is beautiful!i mean i havent seen it proper at all.but so far it has been awesome.we arrived after dusk and headed straight to the royal bali beach club only to find out that we have been upgraded to villas at karma.villas...thats what they called it.it is a freaking mansion!!two storey, with three bedrooms and a living room, dining area, kitchen and wet kitchen that are all adjacent to out very own private pool!holy crap..we are having the time of our lives splashing in the private pool and the bubble jacuzzi.oh there are four bathrooms, two of which are open air.and the price for a night here..920 USD!..we are staying for a week.

We had really yummy seafood by the beach at jimbaran for dinner earlier.dined on the beach with soft candlelight setting a romantic mood..lol.the only problem is, the 5 of us are no honeymooners.apparently, that was the site of the bali bombings.okay..enough for now.i have to go plan our day for tomorrow..:)

The end of the beginning...

So this is it. Two years of my life wrapped up in one single day. One elaborate, lavish and totally boring ceremony. Funny, i have no emotions about graduating. I went through the whole awards day feeling indifferent. Like it's just another function i have to sit through and try to be still without fidgeting. Oh i tried to sneak off to the cafe halfway, but got caught by abang Lan mid-way. So back to the hall it was. After the whole thing, there was group photographs according to sponsors. That was when the families started mingling, and we were all meetin each others parents. I go over to hwee yin who is standing beside two ladies. Being the well-mannered malaysian that i am, i turn to them and say hello aunty and have a short conversation. Hwee yin then takes me aside and says, do u know who those people are?...they are our sponsors dear.not your aunty!oh crap, i always find ways to embarass myself. i hope my 'hello aunty' was drowned out by the chaos in the hall.

In one of the speeches, the chairman of UEM berhad said, 'Distinguished guests, your children have attended what is ARGUABLY the best college for alevels in malaysia.' hmmm...it's pretty arguable i think. Eventhough our tagline is, KYUEM your preferred partner in education excellence, a handful of students who paid a bomb to attend it did not get universities that they wanted or received no offers at all. Quite sad. But alevels there is an experience like no other. Two whole years spent there is enough to make you want to move on to the next phase of life.

Yesterday was totally random. After lugging all my stuff through the blazing hot sun and loaded up the car, i was all packed and ready to move out of college for good. Waving goodbye left and right, it was hell trying to get out of college with the roads so clogged up with cars. Back to kl. I had my usual dinner at murni and ran into aimran there. Some maxis people were advertising the new ten deal. Perched by the roadside spray painted silver, ten of them looked very mannequin like. Then it was quick trip to ice bar where i froze my ass off taking shots of vodka. Sometimes i wonder why i'm going to the Uk and not australia. Next stop was dharm's place for drinks with intec boys. And a never-ending football match at the nearby mamak after that. Living the Malaysian life. No complaints from me.

One down, two to go

eThe road trip. Satria Neo and CRV parked at the jetty terminal in Tanjung GemokA little canal that greeted us upon arrival in Tioman

Our accomodation. We had a whole house to ourselves. The view was beautiful from the upper level

The gang heading down to the beach. Sun, sea and sand. The only missing link was surf.

Yipeeee! This is the life!~

Catch of the day. Whale anusha. Eventhough i insisted i was a mermaid
:(
The boys monkeying around. Literally as sanjev gayut-ed on the tree

Our first snorkelling cum island hopping stop. Pulau pasir panjang. We got attacked by jellyfishes here

Into the blue. Pretty pretty glistening clear waters

Performing seals : the boys somersaulting off the diving platform

Sunset by the pool. We spent hours there playing water frisbee

Our very lame attempt at spelling out T-I-O-M-A-N

Camera tricks : Sanjev gobbling up an isalnd that resembles a giant broccoli. Pulau renggis.

Nightfall at the beach

In the buggy that we bullied the abang into driving to send us around the resort. We were just too malas to walk for dinner

Sad sad faces on just before leaving

The ferry ride home. Just before a loud and boisterous card session on the upper deck

Lunch back home at my place in kuantan. Nachi's chicken curry special!~

bliss.paradise.happiness.all in one bundle.words are not enough to describe perfection.

pitsop

we are in kuantan!yeayy...feels good to be home. Went to the stalls by the beach for dinner and had chicken chop. too bad it started raining prematurely and we had to hastily leave. We spent the night giggling and laughing over nothing and everything as we made sandwiches for tomorrow. Pragzy has to go for his visa interview and wont be able to join us, but he joined in the sandwich making.

we saw a snatch theft incident. its awful too feel so helpless. it occured right in front of my car and the poor lady screamed so loudly, almost the whole neighbourhood was alerted. it just so happened to be right beside hwee yin's house and her mom heard the commotion through all the shut windows and the purring of the air conditioner's motor. thank god the lady wasn't injured or dragged.what a great way to show our friends kuantan.shit happens i guess.

i drove the satria neo manual car back today. a great achievement for me.i think i picked up a speeding ticket or two.darn. oh and we are making a video, a blow by blow documentation of the whole trip. it's going to be such a bore for anyone to watch. any outsider i mean. i'm sure we will enjoy looking back on our own antics though.

it's the holi holidayss!

today is officially the last day of exams..unbelievable that it is finally going to be over..so it's off to kuantan on sunday, then straight to tioman..yipeee

too bad we had to cut our tioman a day shorter because the rehearsal for student awards has been brought forward to morning, instead of night as earlier planned. but theres still bali in the pipeline the following week. so i'm not complaining one bit..

flashback

i don't get angry easily.it's very rare that i lose my temper.but recently, i have been running on a very short fuse.i think this feeling is hard to go away because it's a mixture of anger, hurt and most of all disapointment. it has been ages since a friend has let me down so much. so unimaginably much. it's consuming. eventhough i saw it coming...for a long time. friendship is not forever i guess. i have learnt that the hard way before. it's second round for me. oh well, too bad.

to you

beware the silent monster. it breeds within you. it manifests itself in many different forms.all very ugly. self-centredness. power. lust. desire. greed. elusive, you remain oblivious to it. no, you choose to ignore it.

Fisho

I went to the fish spa yesterday. it has been all the rage in kl lately. it was such an experience!

after washing our legs and donning bright blue japanese slippers, w
e walked up onto the wooden platform to pick an aquarium to dip our feet in. they have big fishes, medium and small sized fishes to suit your preference. putting on a brave front, i boldy tried to dip my feet in. i'm actually terrified of little aquatic creatures rubbing up against me. and these fishies are supposed to bite and nibble the dead skin off you. my heel was like a magnet to the fish, they swammmm like crazy towards me!...with a jerk, my legs would be right out of the aquarium again.finally after alot of coaxing that didn't work, solo tells me to be the cheapskate that i am and put my legs in to get my moneys worth. that did the trick. in my legs went. it was ticklish like hell!...but i got used to it....after alot of laughing and fidgeting. towards the end i managed to sit there in tranquillity letting the fishes gobble at me. i think they had a feast.

randomness

The exam hall just before further maths applied, with the whole bunch outside

...so it is almost over.with further maths down i can finally breathe easy again. And applied was wayyy better than pure.thank god.i hope all goes well..

It is refreshing to be able to do anything that i want whenever i want..i spent the whole of yesterday teman-ing mum and dad shop..with a lil of my own thrown in.finally we landed in a gold shop, with me totally bored and uninterested. Dad was trying to coax me into buying some jewellery too since mum was intent on purchasing the whole shop. Too bad gold just doesn't appeal to me.mum said it's cheap to have daughters and expensive to have a wife. So have more daughters...but no more wives.geez..

As usual the whole of kl is abuzz on the weekend. Shop, shop, shop. Patrol the malls. Thats all people here do! Trying to get a park in the malls borders impossible. Crazy!i'm glad i grew up in kuantan.

I was walking the street in the curve with hwee yin today. Some f&n grafitti competition was going on. Huge mock cans of the drink was erected and decorated. Quite cool. Oh and we went bikini shopping. I still can't decide what i want.:(

I'm in starbucks for the umpteenth time. Blogging off the tiny screen of my phone. Guess this is why my mum calls me a screen-ager. They are looking for baristas. Maybe i should take up a job here. Might as well make some money.for the amount of time i spend here..and i can finally learn how to mix some coffee.

Multi-tasking

Writing furiously while staring at the clock. Not just staring but willing the second hand to move a little slower stretching what little time i had left. That was econs for me today. Pressed fot time from beginning to end. At least that's one burden off my shoulder. And heriot watt can be tempting too.

Calculatrix

According to lis, the latest infectious disease that has all of us in its deathly grip is calculatrix...

Definition: The urgent need to have as many calculators as possible when we sit for our further maths. This is to ensure that there is a back up available after our Casio 570MS dies, the graphic calculator konks and the spare Casio runs out of battery. Super kiasu-ness. Nerds with a capital N, with sap captaining the gang. Thanks lis.

Today, we finally lost our virginities. Being called A2 virgins as most of us havent had a single paper even though alevels started two weeks ago, we sat for our further pure maths today. It was hell.
